1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website may place on your computer, mobile phone, tablet or another device. They allow the website to recognise a device or remember information about a visit. Cookies can help a website work correctly, improve security, remember preferences and provide information about how the website is used.
On this page
Some cookies are placed directly by Tcl99 Casino. Other cookies may be placed by service providers that support website functions, security, analytics or other services. Similar technologies may include pixels, tags, web beacons, local storage and software development tools. These technologies may operate in a similar way to cookies and are covered by this policy where appropriate.
A cookie may be a session cookie or a persistent cookie. Session cookies are generally removed when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a period of time or until you delete them. The period for which a cookie remains available can depend on its purpose, your browser settings and the service that placed it.
Cookies do not usually contain information such as your password in plain text. However, cookie identifiers and related technical information may be linked with information about your device, browser, account activity or use of the website. The way this information is handled is explained further in our Privacy Policy.
2. The types of cookies we may use
The cookies used on a gambling website can serve different purposes. The exact cookies available may change as website features, security measures and service providers change. The main categories are described below.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are needed for core website functions. They may support account access, page navigation, secure sessions, fraud prevention, platform stability and the processing of requests. They can also help remember information needed while you move between pages or use an account feature.
Strictly necessary cookies may assist with security checks and help protect the website, accounts and transactions from unauthorised activity. They may also support the availability of responsible gambling features, account controls and notices that are important for the safe use of the service. Because these cookies are necessary for the website to operate, they may not be available for complete removal through preference tools.
Functionality and preference cookies
Functionality cookies remember choices you make so that the website can provide a more convenient experience. For example, they may remember language, display, region, accessibility or other settings. They may also help maintain preferences during a browsing session.
If you reject or delete these cookies, parts of the website may still be available, but some preferences may need to be selected again. Certain features may also work in a less personalised way.
Analytics and performance cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the website. They may provide information about pages viewed, links selected, approximate activity patterns, device type, browser type, loading performance and technical errors. This information can help us identify problems, improve navigation and make the website easier to use.
Analytics information is generally reviewed in aggregated or statistical form where possible. It may still involve identifiers or technical information that could be associated with a device or account activity. We use such information for website improvement, security monitoring and service performance rather than to determine the outcome of games.
Advertising and marketing cookies
Where used and where permitted, advertising or marketing cookies may help measure campaigns, understand visits from promotional channels or show information that is more relevant to your interests. These cookies may be placed by Tcl99 Casino or by advertising and measurement providers acting on our behalf.
Marketing cookies are not required for basic website access. You can usually refuse this category through the cookie preference tool or by changing browser settings. Refusing these cookies may mean that advertising is less relevant, but it should not prevent access to core website functions.
3. Why we use cookies
Tcl99 Casino may use cookies and similar technologies for a range of operational, security and service-related purposes. These purposes may include:
- Keeping the website available and allowing pages and features to function as intended.
- Maintaining secure sessions when you sign in or use account-related services.
- Supporting identity, security and fraud-prevention processes.
- Remembering settings and preferences that improve your browsing experience.
- Understanding website traffic, performance, navigation and technical errors.
- Testing improvements to the website and evaluating whether new features work effectively.
- Measuring the performance of communications, promotions or advertising where applicable.
- Helping us detect unusual activity, misuse or attempts to interfere with the website.
- Supporting responsible gambling information, account controls and other important notices.
- Meeting operational, legal, regulatory and reporting requirements where applicable.
Cookies do not change the rules of any game, guarantee a result, alter game outcomes or improve a player's chance of winning. Gambling involves risk, and you should only use gambling services if you are legally permitted to do so and are comfortable with the risks involved.
Information collected through cookies may be combined with information collected from other parts of the website or from your account where this is permitted and necessary for a stated purpose. Any such handling is subject to applicable privacy obligations and the terms of our Privacy Policy.
4. Third-party technologies and external websites
Some functions may be supported by third-party providers. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies to provide services such as website hosting, security, fraud monitoring, analytics, performance measurement, customer support or campaign reporting. A third party may process information under its own privacy notice and may have its own cookie controls.
We do not control every cookie or technology used by an external service. If you follow a link to another website, that website may use cookies under its own policy. You should review the privacy and cookie information provided by any external website before submitting personal information or using its services.
Third-party services may operate in Australia or in another country. Where information is handled outside Australia, the relevant provider may apply its own data handling arrangements. Further information about the collection, use, disclosure and protection of personal information is available in our Privacy Policy.
We take reasonable steps to work with service providers that are suitable for the functions they perform. However, no website, transmission method or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should keep your device, browser and account credentials secure and avoid using public or shared devices for sensitive account activity where possible.
5. Managing cookies and your choices
When available, the website may display a cookie banner or preference tool. This tool can allow you to accept or reject certain categories of cookies. Your choices may be stored in a preference cookie so that the website can remember your selection. Strictly necessary cookies may continue to operate because they are required for security and core functions.
You can also manage cookies through your browser. Most browsers allow you to view, block, delete or restrict cookies. Browser controls differ, so you should check the help or settings area of the browser you use. You may need to repeat your choices on different browsers or devices.
- Blocking all cookies may prevent account access or cause some website features to work incorrectly.
- Deleting cookies may remove saved preferences and sign you out of active sessions.
- Rejecting analytics or marketing cookies should not normally affect core account functions.
- Some technologies may not be controlled solely through ordinary browser cookie settings.
- If you use a shared device, other users may be able to change its cookie settings.
Your cookie choices do not necessarily remove information that was collected before your choice was changed. They may also not affect information held by a third party under that provider's own settings. Where appropriate, you may need to use the third party's privacy or advertising controls separately.
You should keep your browser and operating system updated and use security features available on your device. If you believe your account or device may have been accessed without permission, stop using the affected device where practical and follow the relevant account security process.
6. Changes to this Cookies Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the website, the technologies we use, our service providers, legal requirements or our privacy practices. The updated version will be made available on this page and may include a revised effective date where appropriate.
You should review this page periodically so that you understand how cookies and similar technologies are used. If a change requires a new choice or consent, the website may display an updated cookie notice or preference request.
If you have questions about this policy or how information is handled, use the available support or privacy contact process provided on the Tcl99 Casino website. Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information when making an enquiry.
